Mauro Zarate

So does Sam leaving now pave the way for him to make a return?
Shame Ravel Morrison didn't stick around as any new manager may have had him in their plans?

Ron The boss hooked him for Jarvis to protect JT...he didnt get it at the time...hence the strop.

Mauro is and always has been a class act. Now he has a Coach who will let him play his own game

As for Zarate, he's difficult character, liable to swing from overconfidence to underconfidence, but if Slaven can keep him in the middle, we'll have useful player on our hands.

The Texas flip-flop - yesterday, Bilic was a retard masquerading as a genius, now Bilic is responsible for everything good in the universe.

He makes things happen. Doesn't always come off and a tad selfish at times but I like him and we need creativity. Wasted on BFS.

I was frustrated by most of Zarate's performance. On a number of occasions he looked like he was going to produce something special, only for the move to come to nothing. Then he produces the goal. Very nice.
Bilic responds by replacing him with Jarvis.

Just clocking him after his substitution...in Terzic's earrole..proper nut job that needs constant reassurance...but if he keeps that up...can do what the fuck he likes.

Agreed. That goal at Palace was a fantastic strike and I remember thinking "at last, we've got a player here" Hopefully it'll come to fruition this season.

I remember him scoring at palace away at the start of last season and thinking he could be really good. He has to have passing coached into him and to minimise the sulks, because he wont play every game.

I said a little while ago that him losing all that dough could be a great thing for us and him as a footballer. He simply has to deliver the goods now, he is guaranteed to put a shift in every time he is on the pitch as he genuinely needs the money now. It's maybe not the ideal thing you want to hear, but when a man needs to put bread and milk on the table, you see a different animal.
He did hold onto the ball a bit too long at times, but like Payet, he has that bit of something special in the locker. I think he's going to have a big season for us.

The geezer is quite obviously a nut job with a fragile ego.
He looked today like hed had plenty of love from slav..no sulks..seems to buy into the team effort thing..had some selfish moments...but looked like he was enjoying himself.

If he knew when to pass he wouldn't be playing for West Ham having signed on a free.
Today shows how ridiculous it was BFS binning him off for not being good enough, despite keeping much shutter talent to utilise repeatedly.
It also shows why Zarate was so hacked off as well.

Re: Mauro Zarate

If he continues to work hard and can accept being a part of the team rather than the 'star' player then he will only get better. He lacks understanding with those around him and he isn't the quickest but he made some good interceptions, has good close control and is always positive even if that means he loses possession a few times.
Second half he was working hard and tracking back which I've never seen him do. He clearly wants to be a regular starter and is trying to follow team instructions. Great strike which caught Cech flatfooted. We know he can hit the target as he has scored plenty in his career. Just needs to find space. I think he was a bit miffed at being pulled off but Jarvis is much quicker and better at tracking runners and at 2-0 up I think it was sensible.
Get behind the guy. He's one who wants to be loved to get the best from him. If he plays accept he'll frustrate at times but can also be a match winner.

Needs to learn to pass but a couple of times sakho and Payet made the wrong run, leaving him no option.
Worked his arse off which I've never seen before. A class act who needs to be a big part in the seasons side.

Looks as fit as he's been with us, and seeing him chase back in the first half to his own box would never have happened last season.

Re: Mauro Zarate

The Bilic Effect...
He never fitted in with BFS a Sullivan signing...which BFS never accepted so he was ostracized and not given chances by BFS...
Also he doesn't fit into the BFS Hoof style...and works better with creative players like Payet...
Good hardworking display and excellent goal...hope he keeps it up...
